GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR sInvestigator version 2021.01

  1. George Mason University (GMU) grants to the LICENSEE a free of charge, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the computer software sInvestigator version 2021.01 (hereinafter called the "Program"), upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set out. This Program is copyrighted work of GMU (Learning Agents Center). Use of this program is governed by the terms of the end user license agreement, which accompanies or is included with the Program. An end user must not install the Program unless he or she first agrees to the License Agreement terms. Any reproduction or redistribution of the Program not in accordance with the License Agreement is expressly prohibited by law, and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties.

  2. The LICENSEE acknowledges that the Program is a research tool, still in the development stage, and that it is being supplied "as is", without any accompanying services from GMU, for the purpose of learning.

  3. GMU makes no representations or warranties, express or implied. By way of example, but not limitation, GMU makes no representations or warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose or that the uses of the licensed software components or documentation will not infringe any patents, copyrights, trademarks, or other rights. GMU shall not be held liable for any liability nor for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages with respect to any claim by LICENSEE or any third party on account of or arising from the use of the Program.

  4. The LICENSEE agrees that the Program is provided solely for the internal use of the LICENSEE and shall not be distributed or transferred to any person other than the LICENSEE without the prior written permission of GMU. Furthermore, the Program shall not be used in any fashion for any commercial application or product without the prior written permission of GMU.

  5. Title and copyright to the Program and any material associated therewith shall at all times remain with GMU. The LICENSEE agrees not to use any portion of the Program code in any machine-readable form outside the Program without the prior written consent of GMU.

  6. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as conferring rights to use in advertising, publicity, or otherwise any trademark or the name of "GMU".

  7. The program uses binary libraries developed by third parties which are released under their own license terms. Copies of those licenses are distributed together with this installation kit and the LICENSEE must also agree to those terms.
